These adorable chocolate pinecones are as fun to make as they are to eat! With Swedish chocolate balls “chokladbollar” at their center, they’re the perfect treat to add a touch of winter magic to your dessert table. ❄️🌲
Ingredients
- 100g room temp butter
- 1/2 cup l 1 dl sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 1/4 cup l 3 dl oats
- 3 tbsp cold strong coffee
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon ** optional but kinda hits
- Cornflakes (for decoration, to make pinecones)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients:
In a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix until an dough forms. - Shape the Balls:
Scoop the chocolate dough and roll it into balls, then shape the tops to resemble pinecones. Carefully press cornflakes into the dough, arranging them in overlapping rows to mimic the layered scales of a pinecone. - Chill to Set:
Place the balls on a tray or plate, cover them, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes before serving. Sprinkle powdered sugar to make it look like it’s snowing! ❄️
